Competition classes, scoring system, and Pro qualification
Sport Class
Bullseye (4 rounds), Kiting (2 rounds)Entry-level competition class. Bullseye is similar to Sport Accuracy with a 1-meter target and scoring rings. Kiting involves landing in a zone, then navigating a 4-cone slalom course under canopy to reach a target circle.
Who Competes
ANYONE. No jump number or canopy restrictions. This is the perfect starting point for new competitors.
Turn & Wing Loading
None. Dangerous flying or low turns will result in Yellow Card or Red Card.
Canopy Restrictions
None. Any canopy at any wing loading.
Intermediate Class
Distance, Speed, Accuracy, Freestyle (when applicable)For competitors learning the world of competitive canopy piloting. Entry gates are 3 meters tall with 1.5 meter exit gates. Freestyle rounds progress from single DOD Level 1 moves to Level 3.

Competitors learning competitive CP. If it's your first season competing, this is the place for you.
Turn & Wing Loading
Non-crossbraced canopies typically 1.5–1.9 WL; crossbraced wings typically 1.8–2.2 WL. No greater than 270° turn; wing loading must be below 2.50.
Canopy Restrictions
High performance canopies (Helix, Airwolf, Leia, Valkyrie, Wairwolf, Sleia, HKT, HK, Petra, Sofia, Peregrine, or similar) are NOT permitted.
Advanced Class
Distance, Speed, Accuracy, Freestyle (when applicable)For competitors who have mastered intermediate level courses. Entry gates are 1.5 meters tall. Freestyle allows combinations of up to 2 moves at DOD Level 4.
Who Competes
Competitors with fair experience who have mastered intermediate courses. If you own a Valkyrie, Leia, or Airwolf and it's your first year competing, this is the class for you.
Turn & Wing Loading
Most competitors jump crossbraced wings loaded 2.1–2.8 WL, turns ranging 270–630°. Limited to no greater than 270° turn if loaded at or above 2.80.
Canopy Restrictions
Ultra high performance canopies (Wairwolf, Sleia, HKT, HK, Petra, Sofia, Peregrine, or similar) are NOT permitted.
Pro Class
Speed, Distance, Zone Accuracy (6 rounds)Everything outlined by FAI rules. No canopy restrictions, no wing loading restrictions. Weight belt restrictions same as FAI and USPA rules.
Who Competes
Qualified Pro pilots only. Must meet one of the Pro qualification criteria.
Turn & Wing Loading
No restrictions — full FAI rules apply.
Canopy Restrictions
None.
Pro Qualification
To compete in the Pro class, a pilot must meet any ONE of the following criteria:
- APlacing in the top 20% of the Advanced membership during the prior year's season in their district
- BPros from abroad with substantial evidence of qualifying competition experience
- CCompeting in the open class at USPA Nationals and earning a place on the US National CP team
- DWinning the overall in the Advanced class at USPA Nationals
- EExperience that at the discretion of the league director qualifies the pilot
Championship Points
Points accumulate across meets. Lowest scores dropped at end of season. Tiebreaker: fastest speed run of the season.
